nyc wrap up, africa coming

So I'm back from New York. It was a really great trip. Nathan took me to see Eisley at the Bowrey Ballroom as a birthday present and they were amazing. I bought their cd today. I also saw Hurlyburly with Ethan Hawke and Elizabeth Berkley and The Pillowman. Hurlyburly was good but a little longer than I expected. The Pillowman was brilliant. It was well written, thought provoking, disturbing and funny. Jeff Goldblum, Billy Crudup (from Big Fish), Micheal Stuhlbarg, and Zeljko Ivankek were in it.

I bought some durable clothing for Africa today- two pairs of pants, one tshirt, one shirt that supposedly makes bugs go away. One of the the pairs of pants that I bought are some really nice Arcteryx (women's) pants. They just fit so much better than the guys ones! I'll admit it!

My visa came in today too! It fills up a whole page in my passport. I feel like a really international traveler now.

Penguins! They are so amazing. I want a house that can facillate a family of penguins when I grow up. I'd be willing to bear the cold for them. Nathan, Steev, and I went to the Central Park Zoo, and they have a great penguin exhibit. Going to see The Pillowman tonight.

I just got to the NYU medical center, and I'm hanging out in Nathan's lab. He's workng with crazy proteiny color somethings. I need to go eat something.

Rainy Day

Its raining outside, and I like that.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, the show I'm assistant directing at the university, opens tonight at 8. Everyone should check it out. We run this friday at 8pm, saturday at 8pm, and sunday at 2pm and next wednesday at 8pm, thursday at 8pm, friday at 8pm, saturday at 8pm, and sunday at 2pm. It's a really funny show about relationships. I'll be crewing it the first weekend, but the second weekend I'll be in New York visiting Nathan.

Time to go study or memorize lines or something.

John has been translating Shakespeare from Greek to English for his friends.

Goodbye Danis

I took Danis to the airport this morning to go to Australia. She'll be there for four weeks; she gets back three days after I leave for Africa.

Last night we made smores over a lighter fluid fire in my grill.

Going to Ray's wedding tonight.
